WATCH

“When a serial killer stalked queer New York"…a four-part true crime docuseries that finally refuses to pedestalize a serial killer, and instead delves into the social context surrounding the murders. “Last Call” is an incisive look at the way our systems have failed to protect the most vulnerable and simultaneously a powerful beautiful story about the way marginalized communities come together to protect and champion one another. Aggravating and inspiring. Streaming on MAX.

BUY

More summer glam - this sequin kaftan is my summer hot weather nighttime dream outfit. It’s long enough to hide from the bugs but breezy enough to keep me cool.

READ

I loved these so much I wish I could be you getting to read them for the first time. Deborah Levy refers to her three volumes as “living autobiography” because they’re “written in the storm of life”: Things I Don't Want to Know, The Cost of Living and Real Estate.

ADMIRE

I could cry looking at this powder room by Collarte Architectures. The boop Haas brother’s mirror and pyrograph by Etsuko Ichikawa are perfect together, and I love the proportion play. Minimimalist maximalist perfection.

SPEC

Truly special hardware. If you can go the way of non mass-produced, look no further than French artisans Mi & Gei. Shown is the Privacy Door Lever Set Forme 28.

LEARN

Always questing for knowledge, I was looking for more information on WANG Jianwei after falling irrationally in love with this pastel sludge sculpture at MadeIn Gallery when I stumbled upon one of Guggenheim’s teaching guides for Modern and Contemporary Asian Art and I can not wait to dig in. Learning is cool, kids!!! So is refreshing your knowledge, adults!!!
