GO
Tucked away in LA’s Chinatown Central Plaza, Steep is a teahouse by day that slings some of the tastiest tea-infused cocktails after dark. Even the classics feature their infused spirits. I’m partial to the “Gold Dust” with black tea Marker’s Mark Bourbon and Mandarin Cordial. Skip Cafe Triste - go here instead.

WATCH
I’m a sucker for a courtyard so it’s no surprise that I loved Australian architecture firm, Ha’s “Courtyard House.” In this splendid video, principal Nick Harding walks us through the home’s design, which was influenced by Zen Buddhist values like simplicity and asymmetry. Produced by The Local Project, watching feels like a spa treatment.

SNAG
I couldn’t resist this essentially free (following girl math here) vase/watering can from Ikea. It’s got clean lines and a punchy color and I put a dahlia in mine and it’s so cute and it’s called the Chilifrukt (??) and you should get one too.

LISTEN
Big Thief’s latest single release, “Vampire Empire” is just as addictive, rocking and thoughtful as everything else in their catalogue.

READ
Leslie Kirchhoff is the brains behind Disco Cubes, an artisan/artful ice studio that probably has a lot to do with the recent attention we’re paying to beautiful ice. Her book, Disco Cube Cocktails, is full of moody, retro imagery and wild ice creations that amplify her recipes. Even for a non-drinker, this book is overflowing with inspiration.

EXPERIENCE
Sigh. I sort of hate burying this magical nugget in a linkytown, but I have been thinking about it a lot lately. Probably because I’m writing about Canada in my next long-form. Welcome to Pine Point is “part book, part film, part family photo album” - I personally have no other way to describe it other than this - it’s how I wish the entire internet was. Make some time for this.
