Portland based artist Jennifer Wilkinson hand-crafts cosmic micro worlds out of clay and deftly transforms them into functional home accessories. Her latest series for Fisk Projects features polymer and resin nightlights (!!) - for the kids, the big kids, and the kid inside of us.

PRE-ORDER
Rose Uniacke is in my Top 10. Her work uses traditional components but the way they’re arranged, or really, distilled - like a modern dream. Finally a book of her projects! Doesn’t come out til September 12th, but you can pre-order here: Rose Uniacke At Work

LOOK
Painting and photography have always had a fraught relationship - with what is considered more ‘artistic’ in constant vacillation. As a die-hard Hopper fan, I was impressed with Andres Gallego award-winning series Hopper Essence, featuring his wife and hand-painted scenery outside the windows.

WATCH
We can’t all visit the incredible Louisiana Museum in Denmark, but what we can do is check out their amazing interviews on the Louisiana Channel. Straight from the horse’s mouth: “Videos on the arts, featuring the artists.” I loved the interview with Ragnar Kjartansson - what a great studio. Artist studios are the best. Except Francis Bacon’s. Yikes.

GO: PHILADELPHIA
I had never heard of a cookbook festival, but what a cool initiative. Cookbooks and Convos features women chefs/authors and runs from September to October at different locations in Philadelphia. Cuisines run the gamut. I’m waiting for the tickets to be released for Nancy Hachisu Singleton’s dinner at Vedge.
