Kips Bay Decorator Show House photos are up on Architectural Digest. If you’re not familiar, it’s like the Oscars/MET Gala of decorating. My favorite room was Neal Beckstedt’s. I loved his from years ago too!

DREDGED UP

“[H]e questions the role of the photographer as someone who has the power to present a summary or prepackaged view of a situation.”

I love a reversion to the simplest explanations, especially when definitions of identity have become so nuanced. This excellent summation of a view of the photographer accompanies a dive into Japanese artist Daido Moriyama’s ‘Radical Vision’ by Aperture, published back in May 2022.

BE FRIGHTENED OF PINK

DR’s Notes On Purple got me meditating on colors. Loving this poem “Against Pink” by Dara Yen Elerath. Listen to the audio version. Pictured: the scariest pink thing I know. IYKYK. (if not click here)

EAT HERE

My friend is planning a Koreatown bachelorette party and I’m most excited to have a reason to be in K-Town at 2am for Dan Sung Sa. The best late-night eats in LA!!!!! It looks slightly horrifying, but a hangover from passing out not stuffed with fried spam and cheesy corn is scarier. Eat a real dinner at a proper time at Here’s Looking At You before the night begins.
